Japanese artist Takahashi Hiroko studied at Tokyo University of the Arts, where she passionately mastered traditional crafts such as dyeing, weaving and engraving. Japanese Stories is Hiroko's first home fragrance collection, encompassing five unique scents which are reminiscent of her childhood in Tokyo.
A scented candle with top notes of mandarin and coriander leaf; middle notes of green floral, rose, hot metal; and earthy base notes.
Candle 2 of 5 in the Japanese Stories home fragrance collection. The ceramic vessel is embellished with a striking geometric pattern and can be re-used as a storage pot once the candle has finished. The candle has a burn time of 60 hours and comes gift-boxed. Fragrance II | Ni is also available as a diffuser.
Hiroko's story behind the fragrance II | Ni: "Ni is evocative of growing up near an industrial district. There are fond memories where the noise was sometimes so loud that thoughts could not be heard. I played with the scrap pieces of wood nearby - the air was sweet but pleasantly bitter too. From the factory gloom, the bright sky illuminates Tokyo."
