Japanese artist Takahashi Hiroko studied at Tokyo University of the Arts, where she passionately mastered traditional crafts such as dyeing, weaving and engraving. Japanese Stories is Hiroko's first home fragrance collection, encompassing five unique scents which are reminiscent of her childhood in Tokyo.
A scented candle with burnt caramel top notes; middle notes of rice flour, popcorn, nutty, bread, coffee, cinnamon; and base notes of resin and myrrh.
Candle 4 of 5 in the Japanese Stories home fragrance collection. The ceramic vessel is embellished with a striking geometric pattern and can be re-used as a storage pot once the candle has finished. The candle has a burn time of 60 hours and comes gift-boxed. Fragrance IV | Yon is also available as a diffuser.
Hiroko's story behind the fragrance IV | Yon: "Yon is reminiscent of an early afternoon where nobody is around. A fragrant smell that comes when rushing on a bicycle, feeling the wind, through the narrow alleys edged with flowers, among rows of old Tokyo houses. Without a thought I stop, turn and look back. Realising a moment to cherish."
