Inspired by the land and seascape of Cornish coves, this beautiful collection of illustrations were the winning entry in a competition Rick Stein launched to final year Art & Design students at Falmouth University, to create his new tabletop collection. Eight coves and bays from North Cornwall have been hand-painted in watercolour showing the depth and colour variations in the sea.
This supper bowl is decorated with a watercolour illustration of Treyarnon Bay, Cornwall on the interior of the dish. The clean design of the bone china form compliments the subtly changing shades of the bay, with vivid sea blue tones. Also available as part of a mixed set of four supper bowls.
Rick on Treyarnon Bay: "I learnt to swim in the blue pool here. When I was little we always went there surfing the breakers with plywood boards, happy days…"
