Illustrations of four iconic examples of Brutalist vernacular architecture are featured on this smart set of coasters. The residential buildings which appear in this set are the Alton Estate in Roehampton, designed by London County Council led by Rosemary Stejrnstedt; Trellick Tower by Ernö Goldfinger; the Barbican Estate by Chamberlin, Powell and Bon; and Keeling House by Denys Lasdun. The collection celebrates Brutalist architecture which became popular from the 1950s-1970s and has a bold, angular style with repeated modular elements and large swathes of exposed brickwork, with concrete being the primary material. The coasters come in a sophisticated colour palette and matching placemats are available. Designed and made in the UK.

People Will Always Need Plates is the creation of influential British design duo Hannah Dipper and Robin Farquhar. They believe that good design should be used and enjoyed - products should be both beautiful and functional.
