Availability: Low stock
Inspired by the land and seascape of Cornish coves, this beautiful collection of illustrations were the winning entry in a competition Rick Stein launched to final year Art & Design students at Falmouth University, to create his new tabletop collection. Eight coves and bays from North Cornwall have been hand-painted in watercolour showing the depth and colour variations in the sea.
This large serving platter is decorated with a watercolour illustration of Constantine Bay, Cornwall on the interior of the dish. The clean design of the bone china form compliments the subtly changing shades of the bay, with vivid sea blue tones. Comes gift boxed.
Rick on Constantine Bay: "Barbecues and folk songs in the dunes in the '60s. Everyone surfing at high tide. Stern warnings from my parents of dangerous rips when it was low."
